May Business Month is an initiative of the Economic Development Officers at Adelaide Hills Council and Mount Barker District Council:

The program is designed around offering businesses a range of more than 50 workshops and seminars in order to build capacity and provide professional development opportunities in your region.
Topics include:
  • Energy business breakfast – bring along your energy bills and receive tips and tricks about how to save on your energy costs
  • Is Your Business Export Ready? - a breakfast event featuring Australian business export consultant and author, Christelle Damiens
  • Digital Audits - maximise the potential of your online web presence (whether you are a new or existing business)
  • Tax Essentials - delivered by the ATO
  • Home-based Business Networking Breakfast - if you are home-based business this is your opportunity to tap into this network and create new connections
  • BizLink Expo - hosted by the Small Business Commissioner with over 13 expo tables of information, advice and business support
  • Managing the Media and Public Speaking - two workshops hosted by Graeme Goodings
  • Writing a great resume and finding the hidden jobs - for those looking to get a job or change jobs
  • Succeed at Interviews and get the job - brush-up on your interview style and receive advice and support on how to be your best in an interview.

There are also a range of one-to-one consultations for those who would like to discuss a specific business issue or concern with a specialist. One-to-one activities are listed under a separate menu item on this website.
